Hayden and Susan Leeson had already built something worth being proud of. Through Leeson Electrical Contracting, they had spent years earning a reputation for technical excellence, quality workmanship, and genuine community commitment in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
When they decided to launch Silky Pear Energy, they were carrying 20 years of electrical expertise, a respected name, and deep roots in the Goldfields region into a new category.Â
The Kalgoorlie-Boulder solar market had providers, but it lacked a premium operator with the technical capability and the local credibility to serve mining operations, commercial businesses, and high-value residential clients well.Â
Hayden and Susan saw that gap as an opportunity.
The Leeson name carried weight in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, but it carried weight in electrical contracting. Silky Pear Energy was a new name in a new category, and reputation does not automatically transfer.
In the premium solar space, clients decide quickly who is worth talking to. Hayden and Susan needed Silky Pear Energy to look the part before anyone picked up the phone.
That meant entering the market with a brand strategy grounded in a clear position, and a visual and verbal identity executed to the standard their ambition – and their clients – required.
Through our Brand Fusion Framework, we worked with Hayden and Susan to establish a precise market position.Â
The brand was built around three converging strengths: premium product focus, deep technical expertise, and an authentic connection to the Kalgoorlie-Boulder community. That last element became one of the brand’s most distinctive assets.
The name Silky Pear draws from Karlkurla, the local Wongutha word for the native plant that gave Kalgoorlie its name. It is a brand rooted in the region it serves, and that rootedness is woven through every element of the identity.
From that foundation, we developed:

With strategy established, execution covered every touchpoint Silky Pear Energy would need to present professionally from launch.
